What makes Social Sparks different?
Social Sparks is a platform that organises singles events in Sydney. What sets us apart is our approach: we ask you a few questions to connect you with like-minded individuals, streamlining the process and saving you time. Additionally, we provide you the opportunity to choose the event that suits you best, along with your preferred location.
Does Signing up cost anything?
No, registration is completely free, and you will always have the option to either attend or decline an event. The decision is entirely yours.
When are events organised?
Events are organised when there is a sufficient number of individuals sharing the same age group, location and popular preferences.
What is a booking fee?
We use Eventbrite to buy tickets for our events, this is the fee they charge for each ticket sold.
What is your cancellation policy, can I get a refund?
We completely understand that circumstances can arise, and you may be unable to attend. If you inform us at least 48 hours before the scheduled event, we will provide you with a credit of equal value to attend at a more convenient time. We only provide refunds in the event that we must cancel an event due to insufficient attendance or circumstances beyond our control.
I have signed up, now what?
Since we are organising events based on matched preferences, we will reach out to you once we have gathered enough participants in the same location, event type, preferences, and age groups. You will be notified when an event has been arranged, and we will provide at least 24 hours for you to purchase tickets before they become available to others.
Do I need to do anything before an event?
If you wish, you can complete your profile page, providing other participants with additional insights into your interests, deal breakers, or anything else you’d like to share. This profile will be viewable to all participants following the event.
What happens after an event?
Once everyone has met, you can use our platform to exchange contact numbers, assuming you haven't done so already. Sometimes, you might need some time to reflect on your decision and reviewing each other's profiles can assist you in determining whether you'd like to connect. You will have a 24-hour window to make your choice, after which you will find out if there is a mutual selection; if so, your contact information will be shared with one another.
